All FSC staff are welcome to go on any of the FSC BioLinks courses free of charge. FSC BioLinks is a National Lottery Heritage Funded project all about invertebrates.  Invertebrates provide us with many useful ecosystem services which we cannot survive without but their numbers are declining. Few people know how to identify or record invertebrates meaning there is a lack of records, making it difficult for conservationists to address these declines. The project teaches people how to identify and record invertebrates by providing subsidised training courses. These courses are run in the West Midlands and South East (in addition to the I&F courses).
The FSC BioLinks project completed it’s 2nd year of delivery (out of 5) at the end of 2019. So far we have run over 200 courses and engaged with over 2000 people:

If there are any courses that you’d like to book on, please email [email protected].

Please note that individual staff would have to discuss with their managers whether this training forms part of their CPD and could be attended in work time, or whether they would need to attend in their own time outside work.
