As an environmental education charity, Field Studies Council holds a commitment to the environment in the heart of everything we do: how we run the charity, what people learn on our courses and through our publications.
This is why we have partnered up with Ecotricity, to spread the word about green energy and get as many people involved as possible. Ecotricity are the world’s first green electricity company and their mission is to change the way electricity is made and used in Britain.
They not only supply green energy, they make it themselves from renewable sources. The green electricity supplied is sourced from the wind, the sun and the sea, and the green gas is made from organic material and, soon, grass.
By making the switch from your current energy supplier to Ecotricity, you not only make your household and living style greener, but they will donate £50 to FSC which we will use towards our charitable work.
We’ve been supporting this initiative as one of our values and now have around 95% of FSC buildings supplied with green electricity from Ecotricity. Over the coming months we will be working closely with Ecotricity to build on our own investment in renewables, and furthering the organisation’s shift towards a 100% renewable fuel source.
