The GA’s Governing Body, meeting three times a year, comprises 14 Trustees and has overall responsibility for the GA and its current and future well-being. The Governing Body is responsible for the stewardship of the GA in accordance with the law and the GA’s charitable objectives. The role is not remunerated but travel and subsistence expenses are reimbursed.

The Geographical Association (GA) is seeking a committed individual to chair its trustee board, known as its Governing Body. This is a new role, with an initial term of three years from September 2020. Applications are invited from individuals who support our aim of furthering knowledge and understanding of geography through education and who have the requisite skills and experience to provide inclusive leadership to the Governing Body.
