Moorside Primary School in Lancaster, which visited FSC Malham Tarn in December 2017, are the winners of the ‘My Best School Trip’ Award for the 2018/19 School Travel Awards.

Teacher Jonathan Whitewell entered the Year 1 residential trip which took place at FSC Malham Tarn in the Yorkshire Dales to win the award along with written pieces from the children about their experiences of the residential to the centre as well as his own commentary on what impact the trip had on them.

“The standard of entries and nominations this year has been incredibly high, which reflects the growing importance of learning outside the classroom and the school travel sector. There are so many amazing people out there from teachers organising brilliant school trips to those working in to provide fantastic learning experiences. The School Travel Awards is our way of giving something back by recognising those individuals and teams – and hopefully inspiring others along the way.”
