This is FSC’s first Impact Report where we set out in a short document illustrated by stories and stats how we as a charity have an impact on both people and the planet. Many charities produce such reports and they are deliberately designed to be completely different from an annual report. Staff from across the organisation have been involved in putting this one together. We have taken 2019 as frame and showcased what we do to make an impact, often by focussing on smaller, lesser known projects that the FSC is involved with.
Our aim is to hook a different audience including journalists, MPs and even those who are looking for a charity or cause to support. We want people who know a little about us to realise that we are about so much more than teaching fieldwork. We also want to use it as a way to keep in touch with members and our Patron. Impact Reports need to be fairly short and punchy and we could not include everything that we do each time, but with this planned to be a yearly event there will be plenty more opportunities to be included.
