To help us celebrate the Field Studies Council’s 80th anniversary our Discovery Centre in Margam Park ran a competition offering two Welsh primary schools an exciting opportunity for their yr 4 or 5 to stay with us for a free two-night residential visit.
To be in with a chance to win, all they needed to do was design a celebration badge that illustrated all the great things we do at Margam Discovery Centre.
The brief requested that the design was bright and bold, so that it would look good when made into a 75mm wide round pin badge. The winning designs were brilliantly thought out, and really did communicate a strong love of being outdoors.
The successful competition winners were invited to bring 36 students from their school for an action packed residential, full of environmental and outdoor activities, from 24th-26th October 2023.
The winning schools both enjoyed a free two-night residential, where pupils experienced a stay packed with environmental and outdoor activities in the beautiful surroundings of the centre.
The children produced more beautiful artwork as thank you letters for the the staff at Margam! Well done everyone involved and working so hard to create such a brilliantly received experience for the children!
